This beginner-friendly class introduces you to the art of lathe turning tiny wooden pots, guided by a skilled craftsperson in a supportive, hands-on environment. Perfect for curious creators and miniature enthusiasts, no prior experience is necessary!

You’ll begin by choosing your wood:

Pine – soft and forgiving
Walnut – rich and elegant
Maple – smooth and bright
Red Heart – vibrant and unique
Mixed glue-up – a stunning combo of woods

Then, we’ll dive into:

Safe wood mounting and tool basics

Safe wood mounting and tool basics

Sanding and smoothing for a clean finish
Polishing your creation to perfection

By the end of class, you’ll walk away with at least one (maybe two!) finished miniature pot and the skills to keep turning at home. All materials and tools are provided. The miniature lathe is included in the price for you to have for your very own! please bring your own safety goggles.
